Heritage Hearty Meatloaf

Ingredients

2 lbs ground beef
1 cup breadcrumbs
1/2 cup milk
2 large eggs
1 small onion, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 cup ketchup
2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/4 cup parsley, chopped
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
2. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, eggs, chopped onion, minced garlic, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, parsley, and Parmesan cheese.
3. Mix the ingredients thoroughly with your hands until well combined.
4. Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in a greased loaf pan or on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
5. Drizzle olive oil over the top of the meatloaf to keep it moist during baking.
6. Bake in the preheated oven for 60 to 75 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
7. Allow the meatloaf to rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

Storage

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

Reheating

Reheat slices in the microwave covered with a damp paper towel or in the oven at 300°F (150°C) until warmed through.
