Heritage Crab Casserole

Ingredients

1 lb fresh crab meat
1 cup mayonnaise
1 cup sour cream
1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1/2 cup chopped green onions
1/2 cup chopped celery
1/4 tsp ground black pepper
1 cup crushed butter crackers

Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
2. In a large mixing bowl, combine mayonnaise, sour cream, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, green onions, celery, and black pepper.
3. Gently fold in the fresh crab meat, being careful not to break it apart too much.
4. Transfer the mixture into a greased 9x13 inch casserole dish.
5. Sprinkle the shredded Cheddar cheese evenly over the top.
6. Cover the dish with crushed butter crackers.
7. Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes until the top is golden brown and the casserole is heated through.
8. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.

Storage

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

Reheating

Reheat individual portions in the microwave for 1-2 minutes or until hot, or reheat the entire casserole in the oven at 350°F for about 15 minutes.
