Ingredients
8 oz cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup finely chopped fresh chives
1/4 cup finely chopped fresh parsley
1/4 cup finely grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
1 egg, beaten
Instructions
1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
2. In a medium mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, chives, parsley, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
3. Roll out the puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface.
4. Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the pastry, leaving a small border around the edges.
5. Roll the pastry tightly into a log, then slice into 1/2 inch pieces to form pinwheels.
6. Place the pinwheels on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
7. Brush the tops with beaten egg to achieve a golden finish.
8. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-18 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed.
9. Remove from oven and let cool slightly before serving.
Storage
Store leftover pinwheels in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
Reheating
To reheat, place pinwheels on a baking sheet and warm in a 350°F (175°C) oven for 5-7 minutes until heated through.
