Heirloom Slow Cooker Pulled Pork

Ingredients
4 lbs pork shoulder
1 cup apple cider vinegar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup paprika
2 tbsp salt
2 tbsp black pepper
1 tbsp garlic powder
1 tbsp onion powder
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
1/2 cup barbecue sauce
Instructions
1. Rub the pork shoulder with a mixture of brown sugar, paprika, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper.
2. Place the seasoned pork into the slow cooker.
3. Pour apple cider vinegar over the pork.
4. Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours or until the pork is tender and shreds easily.
5. Remove the pork from the slow cooker and shred using two forks.
6. Mix in barbecue sauce and serve warm.
Storage
Store leftover pulled pork in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
Reheating
To reheat, place pulled pork in a saucepan over medium heat until warmed through, adding a splash of water if needed to prevent drying out.
