Hearty Homestyle Meatloaf

Ingredients

1 1/2 lbs ground beef
1 cup breadcrumbs
1/2 cup milk
1 egg
1 small onion, finely chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/2 cup ketchup
2 tbsp brown sugar
1 tsp mustard

Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, egg, chopped onion, minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and black pepper. Mix until all ingredients are well combined.
3. Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in a lightly greased loaf pan or on a lined baking sheet.
4. In a small bowl, mix together the ketchup, brown sugar, and mustard. Spread this glaze evenly over the top of the meatloaf.
5. Bake in the preheated oven for about 60-75 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
6. Remove from oven and let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

Storage

Store leftover meatloaf in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

Reheating

Reheat slices of meatloaf in the microwave at medium power until heated through, or warm in a preheated oven at 300°F (150°C) for 15-20 minutes.
