Hearty Homestyle Chili
A comforting and rich homestyle chili made with ground beef, beans, and a blend of spices. Perfect for a warm, satisfying meal that is flavorful and easy to prepare.

Ingredients
2 tbsp olive oil
1 lb ground beef
1 large onion, diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 bell pepper, diced
1 jalapeño, seeded and minced
2 tbsp chili powder
1 tsp ground cumin
1 tsp paprika
1 tsp oregano
1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
14 oz can diced tomatoes
2 tbsp tomato paste
15 oz can kidney beans, drained and rinsed
15 oz can black beans, drained and rinsed
1 cup beef broth
Salt and pepper to taste
Optional toppings: shredded cheese, sour cream, chopped cilantro
Instructions
1. Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned.
2. Add onion, garlic, bell pepper, and jalapeño to the pot. Sauté until softened.
3. Stir in chili powder, cumin, paprika, oregano, and cayenne pepper; cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
4. Add diced tomatoes, tomato paste, kidney beans, black beans, and beef broth. Stir to combine.
5. Bring to a simmer, reduce heat to low, and cook for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
6. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve hot with optional toppings.
Storage
Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 2 months.
Reheating
Reheat in a pot over low heat, stirring occasionally, until warmed through. Alternatively, microwave in a microwave-safe dish, stirring every 30 seconds.
