Hearty Country Pork Ribs

Ingredients

3 lbs country-style pork ribs
1 cup BBQ sauce
1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tbsp smoked paprika
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1 large onion, sliced
1 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

1. Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the pork ribs until browned on all sides, about 3-4 minutes per side.
2. In a separate bowl, mix together the BBQ sauce, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
3. Place the sliced onion at the bottom of the slow cooker. Layer the seared pork ribs over the onions.
4. Pour the BBQ sauce mixture over the ribs, ensuring they are well-coated.
5. Cover the slow cooker and cook on low for 6-8 hours, or until the ribs are tender and the meat easily falls off the bone.
6. Serve the ribs hot, with the sauce drizzled over them.

Storage

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

Reheat the ribs in the microwave or oven until warmed thoroughly. Add a bit of water or more BBQ sauce if needed to keep them moist.
