Golden Spice Rice Pudding
A deliciously creamy and aromatic rice pudding infused with the golden hues of turmeric and the warmth of cinnamon, perfect for a comforting dessert or breakfast.

Ingredients
1 cup basmati rice
4 cups whole milk
1 cup water
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup golden raisins
1 tbsp turmeric powder
1 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tbsp unsalted butter
1/4 cup chopped almonds
1/4 cup honey
1/4 cup shredded coconut
Instructions
1. Rinse the basmati rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
2. In a large saucepan, combine the rice, water, and 2 cups of milk. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15 minutes.
3. Stir in the remaining 2 cups of milk, sugar, raisins, turmeric, cinnamon, and salt. Cook over medium heat, stirring frequently, until the mixture thickens, about 20 minutes.
4. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract and butter.
5. Let the pudding cool slightly, then stir in the almonds and honey.
6. Serve warm, garnished with shredded coconut.
Storage
Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
Reheating
Reheat gently in a saucepan over low heat, adding a splash of milk if necessary to reach the desired consistency.
