Golden Baked Brie

Ingredients
1 wheel of brie cheese (8 oz)
1 sheet of puff pastry
1/4 cup of apricot preserves
1/4 cup of dried cranberries
1/4 cup of chopped pecans
1 egg (beaten, for egg wash)
1 tablespoon of butter (unsalted, optional)
Crackers or sliced baguette for serving
Instructions
1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. Roll out the puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface to remove creases, making it large enough to wrap the brie.
3. Place the wheel of brie in the center of the puff pastry.
4. Spread apricot preserves evenly over the top of the brie.
5. Sprinkle dried cranberries and chopped pecans on top of the preserves.
6. Fold the puff pastry over the brie, trimming any excess and ensuring it is completely covered.
7. Brush the pastry with beaten egg to achieve a golden brown color during baking.
8. Place the wrapped brie on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the pastry is golden and crispy.
9. Let it cool for 5 minutes before serving.
10. Serve warm with crackers or sliced baguette.
Storage
Store leftover baked brie in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
Reheating
To reheat, place in a preheated oven at 300°F (150°C) for about 10 minutes or until warmed through.
