Ingredients
6 medium apples, peeled, cored, and sliced
1 tbsp lemon juice
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 tsp ground ginger
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup rolled oats
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 cup unsalted butter, chilled and diced
1/4 cup chopped pecans
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
2. In a large bowl, toss apple slices with lemon juice, granulated sugar, and ground ginger until well coated.
3. In a separate bowl, combine flour, oats, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt.
4. Cut in butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
5. Stir in chopped pecans.
6. Place apples in a 9x13-inch baking dish and evenly sprinkle the oat mixture over the apples.
7. Bake for 45 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and apples are tender.
8. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
Storage
Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
Reheating
Reheat in the oven at 300°F (150°C) for 10-15 minutes or until warmed through.
