Garden Fresh Caprese Salad

Brighten your table with a refreshing Caprese salad. Made with ripe tomatoes, creamy mozzarella, and fresh basil, it's a perfect starter or side dish for any gathering.

Ingredients

2 ripe heirloom tomatoes, sliced
8 oz fresh mozzarella cheese, sliced
1/4 cup fresh basil leaves
2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
1 tablespoon balsamic glaze
Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

Instructions

1. Arrange the tomato slices on a large platter.
2. Alternate slices of mozzarella cheese with the tomato slices.
3. Tuck fresh basil leaves between the layers of tomatoes and mozzarella.
4. Drizzle with extra-virgin olive oil and balsamic glaze.
5. Season with salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste.
6. Serve immediately and enjoy the fresh flavors.

Storage

Store leftover Caprese salad in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.

Reheating

This salad is best served fresh, but if needed, allow it to come to room temperature before serving again.
