Prep time: 15 minutes
Cook time: 50 minutes
Serves: 4

Ingredients

3 lbs chicken wings
1 tbsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/2 cup pure maple syrup
3 tbsp Sriracha sauce
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
1 tbsp unsalted butter

Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 425°F and line a baking sheet with aluminum foil. Place a wire rack on top.
2. Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels. This is essential for achieving crispiness.
3. In a large bowl, mix the baking powder, salt, and black pepper. Add the wings and toss to coat evenly.
4. Arrange the wings on the wire rack in a single layer, ensuring they don’t touch.
5. Bake in the preheated oven for 40 minutes, turning once halfway through.
6. In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine the maple syrup, sriracha, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, and butter. Stir until the butter is melted and the sauce is smooth.
7. Once the wings are baked, transfer them to a large bowl and pour the sauce over. Toss until the wings are well coated.
8. Return the wings to the rack and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes until caramelized and crispy.

Storage

Store leftover wings in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

Reheating

To reheat, preheat your oven to 375°F and bake the wings on a wire rack for 10 minutes or until heated through and crispy.
