Cranberry Citrus Relish

A delightful twist on traditional cranberry sauce, this Cranberry Citrus Relish combines the tartness of cranberries with zesty citrus and a hint of warming spices. It's perfect as a holiday side dish or a refreshing condiment for your favorite meals.

Ingredients

12 oz fresh cranberries
1 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup fresh orange juice
1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
1 tbsp orange zest
1 tsp grated ginger
1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
1/8 tsp ground nutmeg
1/4 tsp salt

Instructions

1. Rinse the cranberries under cold water and discard any that are soft or damaged.
2. In a medium saucepan, combine the cranberries, sugar, orange juice, and lemon juice over medium heat.
3. Cook while stirring until the sugar has dissolved and the cranberries begin to pop, about 10 minutes.
4. Remove from heat and stir in the orange zest, grated ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
5. Let the mixture cool to room temperature, then transfer to a serving dish or an airtight container.
6. Serve immediately, or refrigerate for up to two weeks.

Storage

Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.

Reheating

Remove from the refrigerator and allow to come to room temperature, or gently warm in a saucepan over low heat before serving.
