Classic Tuna Noodle Casserole

Ingredients
2 cans (5 oz each) tuna, drained
12 oz egg noodles
1 can (10.5 oz) condensed cream of mushroom soup
1 cup milk
1 cup frozen peas
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 cup crushed potato chips
1/2 cup chopped onion
1/4 cup butter, melted
1/4 tsp black pepper
Salt to taste
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
2. Cook egg noodles according to package instructions, drain and set aside.
3. In a large bowl, mix together the condensed cream of mushroom soup, milk, melted butter, black pepper, and salt.
4. Stir in the cooked noodles, drained tuna, peas, chopped onion, and half of the shredded cheddar cheese.
5. Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish and spread evenly.
6. Sprinkle the remaining cheddar cheese and crushed potato chips on top.
7. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, until the casserole is bubbly and the top is golden brown.
8. Allow to cool for a few minutes before serving.
Storage
Cover the casserole with aluminum foil or place in an airtight container and store in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
Reheating
Reheat in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for 15-20 minutes or until heated through, or microwave individual servings for 2-3 minutes.
