Classic Homestyle Chili
A hearty and flavorful classic chili recipe that combines tender ground beef with kidney beans, tomatoes, and a blend of spices for a comforting dish perfect for any meal.

Ingredients
2 lbs ground beef
1 large onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 green bell pepper, chopped
1 red bell pepper, chopped
2 cans (14.5 oz each) diced tomatoes
2 cans (15 oz each) kidney beans, drained and rinsed
2 tbsp chili powder
1 tsp ground cumin
1 tsp paprika
1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
Salt and pepper to taste
3 cups beef broth
1 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
1. In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and garlic, sauté until the onion is translucent.
2. Add the ground beef to the pot, cooking until browned. Drain excess fat.
3. Stir in the chopped green and red bell peppers, cooking until softened.
4. Add the diced tomatoes, kidney beans, chili powder, cumin, paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
5. Pour in the beef broth and bring the mixture to a boil.
6. Reduce the heat to low and let the chili simmer for at least 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
7. Adjust seasoning to taste before serving.
Storage
Allow the chili to cool completely before transferring to an airtight container. Store in the refrigerator for up to 5 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
Reheating
To reheat, transfer chili to a pot and warm over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until heated through. Alternatively, microwave individual portions on high for 2-3 minutes.
