Classic Hearty Breakfast Bake

A timeless breakfast casserole combining savory sausage, fluffy eggs, and crispy hash browns for a hearty start to the day. Perfect for family gatherings or weekend brunches.

Ingredients

1 lb of breakfast sausage
6 large eggs
3 cups of frozen hash browns, thawed
2 cups of shredded cheddar cheese
1 cup of milk
1/2 cup of diced onion
1/2 cup of diced bell pepper
1 tsp of salt
1/2 tsp of black pepper
1/4 tsp of garlic powder
Cooking spray

Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the sausage until browned. Drain excess fat and set aside.
3. In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder.
4. Add cooked sausage, hash browns, cheese, onion, and bell pepper to the egg mixture. Stir to combine.
5. Spray a 9x13 inch baking dish with cooking spray. Pour the mixture into the dish.
6. Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes or until the eggs are set and the top is golden brown.
7. Allow to cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.

Storage

Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

Reheating

Reheat individual servings in the microwave for 1-2 minutes or until heated through.
