Chocolate Fondue with Fresh Fruit

Ingredients

12 oz semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 cup heavy cream
2 tbsp unsalted butter
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 lb strawberries, hulled
1/2 lb pineapple chunks
2 bananas, sliced
1/2 lb apple slices
1/2 lb grapes

Instructions

1. In a medium-sized saucepan over low heat, combine the heavy cream and butter, stirring occasionally until the butter is melted.
2. Add the chocolate chips to the saucepan, stirring constantly until smooth and fully melted.
3. Stir in the vanilla extract and mix well.
4. Transfer the chocolate mixture to a fondue pot or a small slow cooker to keep warm.
5. Arrange the fresh fruit on a platter and serve alongside the warm chocolate fondue, encouraging dipping and sharing.

Storage

Store leftover chocolate fondue in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Wrap leftover fruit separately before refrigerating.

Reheating

Reheat the chocolate fondue gently over low heat on the stovetop or in the microwave, stirring frequently until smooth. Do not overheat.
