Ingredients
4 boneless chicken breasts, cooked and cubed
8 oz ham, diced
8 oz Swiss cheese, shredded
2 cups heavy cream
4 tbsp unsalted butter
2 tbsp all-purpose flour
1 cup chicken broth
1 tbsp Dijon mustard
1 cup breadcrumbs
1 tbsp olive oil
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
2. In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter and whisk in the flour to create a roux.
3. Gradually add the chicken broth and heavy cream, stirring constantly until the sauce thickens.
4. Stir in the Dijon mustard, salt, and pepper.
5. In a large baking dish, layer the cubed chicken, diced ham, and shredded Swiss cheese.
6. Pour the sauce evenly over the layers in the baking dish.
7. In a small bowl, mix breadcrumbs with olive oil, then sprinkle over the casserole.
8. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until the top is golden brown and bubbly.
9. Allow to cool for a few minutes before serving.
