Caramel Nut Apple Cobbler

Ingredients

3 lbs apples (peeled, cored, and sliced)
1 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup light brown sugar
1/4 cup unsalted butter
1 tbsp lemon juice
1/2 cup chopped pecans
1 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp nutmeg
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup whole milk
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
2. In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat and mix in brown sugar until dissolved.
3. Add sliced apples, lemon juice, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt to the saucepan and cook for 5 minutes.
4. Pour the apple mixture into a 9x13-inch baking dish.
5. In a bowl, mix flour, granulated sugar, and baking powder. Blend in milk and vanilla extract to create a batter.
6. Pour the batter over the apple mixture in the dish.
7. Sprinkle with chopped pecans.
8. Bake for 40-45 minutes until golden brown.
9. Allow to cool slightly before serving.

Reheating

Reheat in a preheated 300°F oven for 10-15 minutes or until warmed through.
