Black Cod Miso
Succulent black cod marinated in a savory blend of miso, sake, and mirin, inspired by Japanese cuisine. This dish is expertly broiled to highlight the tender, flaky texture of the fish and is served alongside a refreshing selection of pickled vegetables.

Ingredients
1 lb black cod
3 tbsp white miso paste
3 tbsp sake
3 tbsp mirin
2 tbsp sugar
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 cup assorted pickled vegetables
Instructions
1. In a small bowl, whisk together the miso paste, sake, mirin, sugar, and soy sauce until smooth.
2. Place the black cod in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over it, ensuring the fish is well-coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 24 hours.
3. Preheat the broiler to high. Line a baking sheet with foil and lightly oil it.
4. Remove the fish from the marinade and place it on the prepared baking sheet, skin-side down.
5. Broil the fish for 10-12 minutes, or until the top is caramelized and the fish flakes easily with a fork.
6. Serve immediately with a side of pickled vegetables.
Storage
Store any leftover fish in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
Reheating
To reheat, place the fish in a preheated oven at 350°F for about 5 minutes, or until heated through.
