Ingredients

1 loaf of French bread, sliced
4 ripe bananas, mashed

6 large eggs
2 cups whole milk
1/4 cup maple syrup
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp salt
Butter for greasing
Powdered sugar for serving

Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly butter a 9x13 inch baking dish.
2. Arrange the sliced French bread in the prepared baking dish.
3. In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, maple syrup, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and salt.
4. Stir in the mashed bananas and chopped walnuts.
5. Pour the banana and nut mixture over the bread, ensuring it's evenly distributed.
6. Press down the bread gently to help it absorb the liquid mixture.
