Ingredients
2 ripe avocados
4 slices whole grain bread
8 ounces smoked salmon
2 tablespoons capers
1 lemon
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon sea salt
2 tablespoons fresh dill, chopped
1 tablespoon olive oil
Instructions
1. Toast the bread slices until golden and crispy.
2. Halve the avocados, remove the pits, and scoop the flesh into a bowl.
3. Add olive oil, sea salt, and black pepper to the avocados and mash until smooth.
4. Spread the avocado mixture evenly over each slice of toasted bread.
5. Layer smoked salmon slices on top of the avocado spread.
6. Sprinkle capers evenly across the salmon.
7. Squeeze fresh lemon juice over the top for a zesty touch.
8. Garnish with chopped dill and serve immediately.
Storage
Store any unused components separately: avocado mash can be refrigerated in an airtight container for up to 1 day, bread should be kept in a bread box or sealed bag.
