Spicy Lime Seared Ahi Tuna

Ingredients

2 ahi tuna steaks (6 oz each)
2 tbsp olive oil
1 lime (juiced)
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
Salt to taste
Black pepper to taste
1 tbsp fresh cilantro (chopped)
Lime wedges for garnish

Instructions

1. In a small bowl, whisk together lime juice, soy sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper.
2. Place the ahi tuna steaks in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them. Let them marinate for at least 10 minutes.
3. Heat olive oil in a non-stick pan over medium-high heat.
4. Sear the tuna steaks for about 1-2 minutes on each side, until a crust forms on the outside while the inside remains rare.
5. Remove from heat and let rest for a minute before slicing.
6. Garnish with chopped cilantro and lime wedges before serving.

Storage

Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
