Zesty Summer Sausage Delight

Ingredients
2 lbs ground beef
1 cup cold water
1/2 cup powdered milk
1 tbsp mustard seed
1 tbsp garlic powder
1 tbsp onion powder
1 tbsp smoked paprika
1 tbsp ground black pepper
2 tsp liquid smoke
1 tsp cayenne pepper
1/2 tsp curing salt
1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
Instructions
1. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, cold water, powdered milk, mustard seed, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, black pepper, liquid smoke, cayenne pepper, curing salt, and Worcestershire sauce.
2. Mix all the ingredients thoroughly until well combined.
3. Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape each into a log about 2 inches in diameter.
4. Wrap each sausage log tightly in aluminum foil, ensuring there are no air pockets.
5. Refrigerate the logs for at least 24 hours to allow the flavors to meld.
6. Preheat your oven to 200°F.
7. Place the wrapped sausage logs on a baking sheet and bake for 6 hours.
8. Remove the foil and continue to bake for an additional hour to form a nice crust on the sausage.
9. Allow the sausage to cool completely before slicing and serving.
Storage
Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
Reheating
Slice and reheat on a skillet over medium heat for 3-4 minutes on each side until heated through.
