Zesty Roasted Green Beans with Lemon and Almonds

1 lb fresh green beans, trimmed

1 lemon, zested and juiced

2 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 tsp red pepper flakes

Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 425°F.
2. In a large bowl, toss the green beans with olive oil, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
3. Spread the green beans on a baking sheet in a single layer.
4. Roast in the preheated oven for 15 minutes.
5. Remove the baking sheet from the oven and add the sliced almonds and minced garlic.
6. Return to the oven and roast for an additional 5 minutes until the almonds are golden and fragrant.
7. Remove from the oven and immediately toss with lemon zest, lemon juice, and red pepper flakes.
