Zesty Layered Taco Dip

Ingredients

8 oz cream cheese, softened
1 cup sour cream
1 tbsp taco seasoning
1 cup shredded lettuce
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 cup black olives, sliced
1/2 cup cherry tomatoes, diced
1/4 cup sliced green onions
1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
1/2 cup salsa
1 jalapeno, sliced for garnish (optional)

Instructions

1. In a medium bowl, mix the softened cream cheese with sour cream and taco seasoning until smooth.
2. Spread the mixture evenly in the bottom of a serving dish.
3. Layer the shredded lettuce over the cream cheese mixture.
4. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the lettuce.
5. Evenly distribute the black olives and cherry tomatoes.
6. Top with sliced green onions and chopped cilantro.
7. Drizzle salsa over the entire dip.
8. Garnish with sliced jalapenos if desired.
9. Serve immediately with tortilla chips or cover and refrigerate for up to 2 hours.

Storage

Cover the dip with plastic wrap and refrigerate for up to 3 days.

Reheating

Remove from the refrigerator and let stand at room temperature for 15 minutes before serving.
