Ingredients
1 lb fresh crab meat
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 teaspoon lime zest
1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 tablespoon finely chopped cilantro
1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs
Salt and pepper to taste
1 tablespoon olive oil
24 mini phyllo pastry shells
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
2. In a mixing bowl, combine the crab meat, mayonnaise, lemon juice, lime zest, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, and cilantro. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
3. Gently fold in the panko breadcrumbs until the mixture is well combined.
4. Fill each mini phyllo pastry shell with the crab mixture.
5. Arrange the filled shells on a baking sheet and lightly brush the tops with olive oil.
6. Bake in the preheated oven for about 10-12 minutes, or until the tops are golden and the mixture is heated through.
7. Serve warm, garnished with additional lime zest and cilantro if desired.
Storage
Store leftover crab bites in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
Reheating
Reheat in a preheated 350°F (175°C) oven for 5-7 minutes or until heated through.
