A timeless, warming drink perfect for chilly evenings, the Warm Whiskey Elixir combines the smoothness of whiskey with the comforting taste of honey and spices.

Ingredients

2 oz whiskey
1 tbsp honey
1/2 lemon, juiced
1 cup boiling water
1 cinnamon stick
2 cloves
1 lemon slice, for garnish
1 star anise, optional

Instructions

1. In a heatproof glass or mug, combine the whiskey, honey, and freshly squeezed lemon juice.
2. Pour the boiling water into the glass and stir gently until the honey is fully dissolved.
3. Add the cinnamon stick and cloves for a spicy aroma.
4. Let the mixture steep for 3-5 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
5. Remove the cloves and cinnamon stick if desired to control the spice intensity.
6. Garnish with a lemon slice and star anise before serving.

Storage

Store any leftover mixture in a sealed container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.

Reheating

Reheat gently on the stove over low heat until warm. Do not boil.
