Ingredients

1 cup unsalted butter, softened
4 cups powdered sugar
1/4 cup heavy cream
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1/8 teaspoon salt

Instructions

1. In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter on medium speed until creamy and smooth.
2. Gradually add powdered sugar, 1 cup at a time, beating on low speed until incorporated.
3. Add heavy cream, vanilla extract, and salt. Increase the speed to high and beat for 3 minutes until light and fluffy.
4. Adjust consistency with additional cream if needed for desired spreadability.

Storage

Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week or freeze for up to 3 months. Allow to come to room temperature before using.

Reheating

Bring to room temperature and re-whip with a mixer if needed to restore smooth texture.
