Instructions
1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 8-inch round cake pans.
2. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
4. In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add to the creamed mixture alternately with milk, mixing until just incorporated.
5. Stir in the crushed lavender until evenly distributed.
6. Divide the batter evenly between the prepared cake pans.
