Traditional Vanilla Delight

Ingredients
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
2 cups granulated sugar
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup unsalted butter, softened
4 large eggs
1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract
1 cup whole milk
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease two 9-inch round cake pans.
2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
3. Add the butter, eggs, vanilla extract, and milk. Beat on medium speed until the batter is smooth and well combined, about 2-3 minutes.
4. Divide the batter evenly between the prepared cake pans.
5. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cakes comes out clean.
6. Allow the cakes to cool in the pans for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
7. Once completely cool, frost with your favorite vanilla frosting.
Storage
Store the cake in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days or in the refrigerator for up to a week.
Reheating
To reheat, warm individual cake slices in the microwave for 10-15 seconds, or enjoy at room temperature.
