Traditional Tzatziki Sauce

Ingredients
2 cups Greek yogurt
1 large cucumber, peeled and grated
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 tablespoon white vinegar
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 tablespoon fresh dill, chopped
1 tablespoon fresh mint, chopped
Instructions
1. Peel and grate the cucumber, then squeeze out excess moisture using a cheesecloth or paper towels.
2. In a medium bowl, combine the Greek yogurt, grated cucumber, minced garlic, olive oil, white vinegar, salt, and black pepper.
3. Stir in the fresh dill and mint until well combined.
4. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to allow the flavors to meld together.
5. Serve chilled as a dip or sauce.
Storage
Store tzatziki sauce in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
Reheating
Tzatziki is best served cold and does not require reheating. If desired, let it sit at room temperature for 10-15 minutes before serving to enhance flavors.
