Traditional Tomato Salsa

A fresh and vibrant traditional tomato salsa that perfectly balances tangy and spicy flavors, ideal for any Mexican dish or as a standalone dip.

Ingredients

3 cups chopped tomatoes
1 cup diced onions
1/2 cup chopped fresh cilantro
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 jalapeño pepper, seeded and finely chopped
2 tablespoons lime juice
1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

1. In a large bowl, combine the chopped tomatoes and diced onions.
2. Add the chopped cilantro, minced garlic, and chopped jalapeño peppers to the mixture.
3. Pour in the lime juice and sprinkle with salt.
4. Stir everything together until well mixed.
5. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.

Storage

Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.

Reheating

Salsa is best enjoyed fresh and does not require reheating.
