Ingredients

2 lbs fresh strawberries
4 cups granulated sugar
1/4 cup lemon juice

Instructions

1. Rinse the strawberries thoroughly and remove the stems.
2. In a large bowl, crush the strawberries with a potato masher until you achieve the desired consistency.
3. In a saucepan, combine the crushed strawberries, sugar, and lemon juice. Stir well.
4. Place the saucepan over medium heat and bring the mixture to a boil, stirring constantly.
5. Reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for about 20 minutes, skimming off any foam that forms on the surface.
6. Test the jam by placing a small amount on a cold plate; it should wrinkle when pushed with a finger.
7. Once the desired consistency is reached, remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
8. Pour the jam into sterilized jars, leaving about 1/4 inch of space at the top. Seal tightly.

Storage

Store in a cool, dark place for up to 1 year. Refrigerate after opening.

Reheating

No reheating required. Serve at room temperature or slightly chilled.
