Traditional Spanish Rice

A rich and flavorful Spanish Rice made with aromatic spices and fresh vegetables, perfect for complementing any meal with an authentic Spanish flair.

Ingredients

2 tbsp olive oil
1 medium onion, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 bell pepper, finely chopped
1 cup long-grain white rice
2 cups chicken broth
1 cup diced tomatoes
1 tsp smoked paprika
1/2 tsp saffron threads
Salt and pepper to taste
1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley

Instructions

1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
2. Add onion and garlic, sauté until onion is translucent.
3. Stir in bell pepper and cook for another 2 minutes.
4. Add rice and cook, stirring constantly, until rice is lightly browned.
5. Stir in chicken broth, diced tomatoes, smoked paprika, saffron, salt, and pepper.
6. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 20 minutes or until rice is tender.
7. Remove from heat and let stand, covered, for 5 minutes.
8. Fluff with a fork and garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Storage

Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

Reheating

Reheat in a skillet over medium heat, adding a splash of broth or water to restore moisture.
