1 cup granulated sugar

1 tablespoon cocoa powder
1/2 cup milk
2 tablespoons melted butter
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup cocoa powder
1 3/4 cups boiling water

Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
2. In a bowl, mix granulated sugar, flour, salt, baking powder, and cocoa powder.
3. Stir in milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract until smooth.
4. Pour the batter into an ungreased 9-inch baking dish.
5. Combine brown sugar and cocoa powder, sprinkle evenly over the batter.
6. Carefully pour boiling water over the mixture, do not stir.
7. Bake for 40-45 minutes until the cake is set and a pudding layer forms underneath.
8. Allow to cool for 10 minutes before serving warm.
