Cook time: 15 minutes
Serves: 4

Ingredients

2 cups all-purpose flour
1 packet active dry yeast
3/4 cup warm water (110°F)
1 tsp sugar
1 tsp salt
2 tbsp olive oil
1/2 cup tomato sauce
8 oz mozzarella cheese, sliced
1/4 cup fresh basil leaves
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

1. In a small bowl, dissolve the yeast and sugar in warm water and let it sit until it becomes frothy, about 5 minutes.
2. In a large bowl, combine flour and salt. Add the yeast mixture and olive oil, then knead the dough until smooth and elastic, about 10 minutes.
3. Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place until it doubles in size, about 1 hour.
4. Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C).
5. Punch down the dough and roll it out on a floured surface to your desired thickness. Transfer to a pizza stone or baking sheet.
6. Spread tomato sauce evenly over the dough, then layer with mozzarella slices and sprinkle Parmesan on top.
7. Bake in the preheated oven until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly, about 12-15 minutes.
