Traditional Irish Coffee

A classic and warming Irish coffee recipe, perfect for cozy nights and gatherings, beautifully combining rich coffee and Irish whiskey topped with cream.

Ingredients

8 oz hot brewed coffee
1 1/2 oz Irish whiskey
2 tsp brown sugar
1 oz fresh heavy cream

Instructions

1. Brew your favorite rich coffee and pour 8 oz into a pre-warmed glass.
2. Add 2 teaspoons of brown sugar to the coffee and stir until completely dissolved.
3. Pour 1 1/2 oz of authentic Irish whiskey into the sweetened coffee and stir gently.
4. Lightly whip 1 oz of heavy cream until it becomes slightly thickened but still pourable.
5. Carefully pour the cream over the back of a spoon to float it on top of the coffee.
6. Serve the Irish Coffee without stirring, allowing the drinker to enjoy the warm coffee through the cool cream.

Storage

Store any unused cream in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.

Reheating

Do not reheat. Prepare fresh before serving.
