Traditional Homestyle Meatloaf

Ingredients

2 lbs ground beef
1 cup bread crumbs
1/2 cup milk
2 eggs
1 small onion, finely chopped
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/4 cup ketchup
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
2. In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, bread crumbs, milk, eggs, chopped onion, salt, and pepper.
3. Mix the ingredients thoroughly until well combined.
4. Grease a loaf pan and transfer the meat mixture into it, pressing down to shape it evenly.
5. In a small bowl, mix ketchup and Worcestershire sauce, then spread evenly over the top of the meatloaf.
6. Bake in the preheated oven for 60-75 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
7. Let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

Storage

Store leftover meatloaf in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

Reheating

Reheat slices of meatloaf in a microwave on medium power for 2-3 minutes, or until heated through.
