Traditional Homemade Whipped Cream

Ingredients

1 cup heavy cream
2 tablespoons powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

1. Chill mixing bowl and beaters in the freezer for 15 minutes.
2. Pour heavy cream into the chilled mixing bowl.
3. Start beating on medium speed using an electric mixer.
4. Gradually add powdered sugar and vanilla extract to the cream.
5. Increase speed to medium-high and whip until soft peaks form, taking care not to overbeat.

Storage

Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.

Reheating

Whipped cream cannot be reheated; serve cold.
