Traditional Dumplings

Ingredients

2 cups all-purpose flour
3/4 cup water
1/2 pound ground pork
1/2 cup finely chopped cabbage
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon sesame oil
1 tablespoon minced ginger
1 clove garlic, minced
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/4 cup chopped green onions

Instructions

1. In a bowl, mix flour and water to form a dough.
2. Knead dough for 5 minutes, then rest for 30 minutes.
3. In another bowl, combine ground pork, cabbage, soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger, garlic, salt, and pepper.
4. Roll out dough and cut into small circles.
5. Place a spoonful of filling in the center of each circle and fold to seal edges.
6. Boil water in a pot and cook dumplings until they float (about 5 minutes).
7. Serve hot, garnished with green onions.

Storage

Store leftover dumplings in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

Reheating

Reheat dumplings in a steamer for 5 minutes or until heated through.
