Traditional Cornbread

Ingredients
2 cups of cornmeal
1 cup of all-purpose flour
1/4 cup of granulated sugar
1 tablespoon of baking powder
1 teaspoon of salt
2 large eggs
1 1/4 cups of milk
1/4 cup of melted butter
Instructions
1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and grease a 9-inch square baking pan.
2. In a large bowl, whisk together the cornmeal, flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
3. In another bowl, beat the eggs and then add the milk and melted butter, mixing well.
4. Combine the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients, stirring just until moistened.
5. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan, smoothing the top evenly.
6. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
7. Let the cornbread cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
Storage
