Ingredients
2 cups masa harina
1 1/2 cups warm water
1/4 tsp salt
Instructions
1. In a large bowl, combine masa harina and salt.
2. Gradually add warm water, mixing with your hands until a dough forms.
3. Knead the dough for about 2 minutes until smooth and pliable.
4. Divide the dough into 12 equal portions and roll each into a ball.
5. Flatten each ball using a tortilla press or a rolling pin between sheets of parchment paper.
6. Preheat a skillet over medium-high heat.
7. Cook each tortilla for about 1 minute on each side until lightly browned and cooked through.
8. Keep cooked tortillas covered with a towel to stay warm.
Storage
Store cooked tortillas in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
Reheating
Reheat tortillas on a skillet over medium heat for about 30 seconds on each side until warm.
