Traditional Corn Boil

Ingredients
8 ears fresh corn
1/4 cup unsalted butter
1 tablespoon salt
2 tablespoons sugar
1 gallon water
Instructions
1. Fill a large pot with 1 gallon of water and bring it to a rolling boil.
2. Add the salt and sugar to the boiling water and stir until dissolved.
3. Carefully place the ears of corn into the pot.
4. Boil the corn for 5-7 minutes until tender and bright yellow.
5. Remove the corn from the pot using tongs.
6. Pat the corn dry and brush with melted butter before serving.
Storage
Store leftover boiled corn in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
Reheating
To reheat, wrap the corn in a damp paper towel and microwave on high for 1-2 minutes.
