Traditional Chicken Pasta

Ingredients

1 lb chicken breast
8 oz fettuccine pasta
2 tbsp olive oil
1 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup chicken broth
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp Italian seasoning
Salt and pepper to taste
Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish

Instructions

1. Boil a pot of salted water and cook the fettuccine pasta until al dente, then drain and set aside.
2. In a large skillet over medium heat, heat olive oil and cook the chicken breast until golden and cooked through, then remove from the skillet and slice thinly.
3. In the same skillet, add minced garlic and cook until fragrant.
4. Pour in the heavy cream and chicken broth, stirring to combine and bring to a simmer.
5. Add Parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning, stirring until the sauce thickens.
6. Return the sliced chicken and cooked pasta to the skillet, tossing to coat with the sauce.
7. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve hot, garnished with chopped parsley.

Storage

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

Reheating

Reheat gently in a skillet over low heat, stirring frequently until warm. Add a splash of cream or broth if the pasta appears dry.
