Ingredients
1 cup unsalted butter, softened
1 cup granulated sugar
4 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups all-purpose flour

1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 cup milk
Instructions
1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan.
2. In a large bowl, cream the softened butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.
3. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, ensuring each is fully incorporated before adding the next.
4. Stir in the vanilla extract.
5. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, salt, and baking powder.
6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with the milk, beginning and ending with the flour mixture.
7. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
8. Bake in the preheated oven for about 60-70 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
9. Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.

Store the pound cake at room temperature in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
