Traditional Broccoli Casserole

Ingredients

2 cups fresh broccoli florets
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 cup cream of mushroom soup
1/2 cup sour cream
1/4 cup milk
1 cup crushed butter crackers
2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp onion powder
Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
2. Blanch broccoli in boiling water for 3 minutes, then drain and set aside.
3. In a large bowl, mix cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
4. Stir in broccoli and 3/4 cup of the shredded cheddar cheese.
5. Pour mixture into a greased casserole dish.
6. Top with the remaining cheddar cheese.
7. In a separate bowl, combine crushed butter crackers with melted butter, then sprinkle evenly over the casserole.
8. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and bubbly.
9. Let cool slightly before serving.

Storage

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

Reheating

Reheat in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for 10-15 minutes or until heated through. Alternatively, microwave on medium power for 2 minutes.
