Ingredients
4 medium-sized apples
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
1/4 cup chopped walnuts
1/4 cup raisins
1/4 cup unsalted butter
1/2 cup apple cider
Instructions
1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
2. Core the apples, leaving the bottom intact to hold the filling.
3. In a bowl, mix together the brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, chopped walnuts, and raisins.
4. Stuff the mixture into the hollowed-out apples.
5. Place the apples in a baking dish and top each with a pat of butter.
6. Pour apple cider into the dish to cover the bottom.
7. Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes until the apples are tender.
8. Let cool slightly before serving.
Storage
Store baked apples in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
