Ingredients
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup unsalted butter, chilled and diced
1/2 cup ice water
1 tsp salt
1 tbsp granulated sugar
Instructions
1. Combine flour, salt, and sugar in a large bowl.
2. Add diced butter and cut into the flour using a pastry cutter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
3. Stir in ice water, a tablespoon at a time, until the dough begins to form a ball.
4. Divide the dough in half, shape into discs, and wrap in plastic wrap.
5. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
6. Roll out dough on a floured surface to fit your pie dish.
Storage
Wrap in plastic and refrigerate for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
Reheating
Thaw overnight in the refrigerator if frozen. Let sit at room temperature for 10 minutes before rolling out.
