Timeless Cranberry Conserve

Ingredients

4 cups fresh cranberries
1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
1 cup water
1 medium apple, peeled and diced
1/2 cup raisins
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp ground cloves
1/4 tsp ground ginger
1/2 tsp salt

Instructions

1. In a large saucepan, combine the cranberries, sugar, and water. Stir well.
2. Add the diced apple, raisins, cinnamon, cloves, ginger, and salt to the mixture.
3. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally.
4. Reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for about 20 minutes, or until the cranberries burst and the mixture thickens.
5. Remove from heat and let it cool to room temperature.
6. Transfer the chutney to an airtight container and refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.

Storage

Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.

Reheating

Serve cold or at room temperature, no reheating necessary.
